✦ COPYRIGHT & DMCA POLICY
Last Updated: September 5, 2026
Hollow House respects the intellectual property rights of creators, artists, photographers, designers, copyright owners, and other rights holders.
In accordance with the Digital Millennium Copyright Act of 1998 (“DMCA”), we maintain the following process for reporting material that is believed to infringe a valid U.S. copyright.
This policy applies specifically to copyright claims. Questions involving trademarks, patents, privacy rights, counterfeit products, or other legal matters should be clearly identified when contacting us.
✦ BEFORE SUBMITTING A NOTICE
Before submitting a DMCA notice, please confirm that:
-
You own the copyrighted work or are authorized to act for its owner.
-
The material you are reporting appears on or is accessible through our website.
-
You have considered whether the disputed use may be authorized by a license, applicable law, fair use, or another legal exception.
-
Your notice contains all of the information listed below.
Important: A DMCA notice is a formal legal request. Knowingly submitting false or materially misleading information may result in liability for damages, costs, and attorneys’ fees under applicable law.
✦ NOTICE OF CLAIMED COPYRIGHT INFRINGEMENT
If you believe that material available through our website infringes a copyright you own or are authorized to enforce, send a written notice to our designated DMCA agent.
Your notice must include all of the following:
1. Authorized Signature
A physical or electronic signature of the copyright owner or a person authorized to act on the owner’s behalf.
2. Identification of the Copyrighted Work
A clear description of the copyrighted work you believe has been infringed.
If your notice covers multiple copyrighted works on the website, you may provide a representative list of those works.
3. Identification of the Reported Material
Identify the material you believe is infringing and provide information reasonably sufficient for us to locate it, including:
-
The exact page or product URL
-
The title or description of the material
-
Screenshots or other identifying details, when helpful
General references to the website without specific URLs or identifying information may prevent us from locating and reviewing the reported material.
4. Your Contact Information
Provide information reasonably sufficient for us to contact you, including:
-
Your full legal name
-
Your mailing address
-
Your telephone number
-
Your email address
5. Good-Faith Statement
Include the following statement:
“I have a good-faith belief that the disputed use of the material is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.”
6. Accuracy and Authority Statement
Include the following statement:
“I declare, under penalty of perjury, that the information in this notice is accurate and that I am the copyright owner or am authorized to act on behalf of the owner of an exclusive right that is allegedly infringed.”
✦ HOW TO SUBMIT A DMCA NOTICE
Send the complete written notice to:
Email: Customerservice@vip-heze.com
Suggested Subject Line: DMCA Notice of Claimed Infringement
To help avoid delays, please include all required information in a single message.
Receipt of a complaint does not automatically establish that infringement has occurred. We may request additional information if a notice is incomplete or if the reported material cannot be identified.
✦ OUR REVIEW PROCESS
After receiving a substantially complete DMCA notice, we may:
-
Review the notice for the required information
-
Request clarification or additional documentation
-
Remove or disable access to the identified material
-
Notify the person who submitted or posted the material
-
Provide that person with a copy of the complaint
-
Take other actions permitted or required by applicable law
We reserve the right to remove or restrict access to material when we reasonably believe it may violate copyright law, our policies, or the rights of another party.
✦ DMCA COUNTER-NOTIFICATION
If material you submitted was removed or disabled because of a DMCA notice and you believe the removal resulted from a mistake or misidentification, you may send us a written counter-notification.
Your counter-notification must contain all of the following:
1. Your Signature
Your physical or electronic signature.
2. Identification of the Removed Material
Identify the material that was removed or disabled and provide the URL or location where it appeared before removal.
3. Statement Under Penalty of Perjury
Include the following statement:
“I declare, under penalty of perjury, that I have a good-faith belief that the material was removed or disabled as a result of mistake or misidentification.”
4. Contact and Jurisdiction Information
Provide:
-
Your full legal name
-
Your mailing address
-
Your telephone number
-
Your email address
You must also include a statement that you consent to the jurisdiction of the United States Federal District Court for the judicial district in which your address is located.
If your address is outside the United States, you must consent to the jurisdiction of any United States Federal District Court in which the service provider may be found.
You must further state that you will accept service of process from the person who submitted the original infringement notice or that person’s authorized agent.
✦ HOW TO SUBMIT A COUNTER-NOTIFICATION
Send the complete counter-notification to:
Email: Customerservice@vip-heze.com
Suggested Subject Line: DMCA Counter-Notification
Submitting a counter-notification may begin a legal process. Consider consulting a qualified attorney before submitting one.
✦ WHAT HAPPENS AFTER A COUNTER-NOTIFICATION?
If we receive a substantially complete counter-notification, we may forward a copy to the party who submitted the original DMCA notice.
Unless the original complaining party informs us that it has filed a court action seeking an order against the person who submitted the disputed material, we may restore the material—or cease disabling access to it—after at least 10 but no more than 14 business days, as permitted or required by applicable law.
We may decline to process a counter-notification that is incomplete, materially inaccurate, or unrelated to a qualifying copyright claim.
✦ REPEAT INFRINGER POLICY
Where appropriate, we may restrict or terminate the accounts or website access of users who repeatedly infringe copyrights or other intellectual property rights.
We may also remove submitted content, restrict account features, or take other reasonable action based on the nature and frequency of reported violations.
✦ MISREPRESENTATIONS AND ABUSE
Do not knowingly submit a false DMCA notice or counter-notification.
Under Section 512(f) of the DMCA, a person who knowingly and materially misrepresents that material is infringing—or that material was removed by mistake or misidentification—may be responsible for resulting damages, including costs and attorneys’ fees.
Submitting altered evidence, impersonating a rights holder, or using the DMCA process to suppress lawful competition, criticism, commentary, or fair use may also result in rejection of the request or other appropriate action.
✦ PRIVACY AND DISCLOSURE
Information submitted in a DMCA notice or counter-notification may be shared with:
-
The person who submitted or posted the disputed material
-
The original complaining party
-
Our service providers or legal advisers
-
Government authorities or courts when legally required
Please do not include unrelated confidential, financial, or sensitive personal information in your submission.
